QAD was founded in 1979 by Pam Lopker. The genesis of the company was Pam writing a manufacturing application for her husband Karl’s sandal making company.

In 2006 purchased Precision Software, a logisitics management solutions company of Dublin, Ireland.

In 2006 purchased Bisgen solutions, a CRM provider based in Chesterfied, England.

In 2006 purchased FBO Systems, a Maintenance and Asset Management software company based in Duluth, GA for $4Mil.
